Well, I would call this a good day and despite of all the bitterness in life, I can say I am blessed.
My desktop PC is very much alive and energetic starting today.
In less than a day, it was fixed by my technician and I was able to take it home in 2 days.
I am sincerely thankful that I have such a good and generous technician, Kuya KEN!
My mother board is actually damaged, after 8 years of ardous labor. Kuya Ken knows I don't have the money and I'll be satisfied with whatever conclusion my PC comes into. He said he'll do a trial and error test before declairing me handicapped officially. But then later that day, he told me he'll lend me his spare mother board and other parts that I need and need only to pay for the DDR of his friend. I swear, I know he has always been very generous to me, giving me discounts and not charging the labor, but this is BIG. I mean, how much is a mother board now? and a ram? a processor? Gah~ I wanted it, but I was really unsure as well. But since I expressed my dire need of a PC in this period of studenthood, I guess he understood.
I felt so spoiled by that man, I wanted to give him a present. X3 But was unable to because I still don't have the time to shop. Definitely next time~

Of course, I have no intention of forever borrowing his things, I proposed to buy the parts but he said to just use it for now and talk of the payment later. You know, he almost felt like family. Really~ I was wondering, maybe because he's Chinese that's why the sense of brotherhood is very strong or maybe he's just really fond of me. I'm also his nephew's best friend! Wahahaha~ oh well, I'm just blessed to have met someone as generous as Kuya Ken. I intend to pay him in December, when I have enough money. ^^ And a fact I just recieved today. Kuya Jesse, his assistant said that Kuya Ken actually don't accept walk-in or random repairs, he only fix for friends or acquintances. My mom said we are a "few" chosen people, and it made me felt all the more happy~ x3

HOWEVER
It's as if the yin-yang would leave me alone so easily.
My main concern, after making sure everything is running properly, is to install programs, especially MS WORD because I have pending PAPERS and one is due tomorrow. Of course, luck would have it that I frustrate myself finding nothing. I was so sure I had my 2003 edition of the program, but I can't seem to find it my installer CDs. Ferk. And now all my mouses are getting bitchy. Ay talaga naman! And since I'm using dial-up, I can't install my YM because it kept disconnecting. Haaay.
Well, I'm using Web messenger for the mean time and surprise, surprise, it's pretty cute!

I was deprived of DSL yesterday so I almost got bored. I wanted to finish my thesis text yesterday but some things came up and I wasn't able to do anything productive further after finishing my paper for Memoirs of a Geisha (yes Junko GALS! I have read it, love it and written something about it na!).

I watched My Name is Kim Sam Soon instead.
Haha~ funny when I remember my classmates calling me "Sam-soon" before (because we're both chubby, I am as vulgar, tomboyish and fashioned a long phony-tailed hair). Well, I like her character, although I am not that temperamental and brave. And certainly not that romantic. I will die a realisit. If God ever give me my Sam Shik, maybe I'll re-consider. :3

Last Monday, I was down because of my Creative Writing class. I guess it's really true that there's nothing higher than heaven and what's left is only to go down. Get the drift? I did not want to start expecting highly of myself...demo.... (｀・ω・´

My classmates and I saw this raincoat hanged in a window at UST with boots. We thought it was a real person! haha~ I dunno about my classmates, but this image is so striking for me. The way things are arranged, it looks like a painting to me.

My brother's new phone arrived last Tuesday. It looks cool, a little different from mine, but I think I like my model better. But gah~ the front and slimness of it is so sleek! (＠Д＠； I sort...of...want it....
But then I'm glad my brother gave me his original headset. Original products are soooo waaaay better than immitations. Erk, I just feel that I wasted my 110 php for the fake one from Recto because he suddenly gave me his. emrf. This happend on the same day.

Usually music is enough as company for me, but my mind craves for an escape from reality which books offer best. Luckily, a BOOKSALE is part of my route going home. I actually don't need an extra expense right now because I believe I have a lot to save for my thesis (and instinct tells me I cannot argue with my parents to give me extra cash, except for the 10 pesos raise in my daily allowance after 2 years in college), but then you know impulse and my repulsion with boredom, so I go in and browse anyway. I wasn't expecting anything interesting to catch my attention but something did.

Anybody know ALICE WALKER? She's the author of Pulitzer Prize winning book "The Color Purple", very popular as Feminist literature. Well, I was able to buy her novel Possessing the Secret of Joy for 45 pesos. I wasn't expeting it especially that it's an Alice Walker book and a hard-bound at that. I'm not sure if it's one of her popular works because it's the first time I'm reading her work. I'm a female but I'm not so inclined to Feminist lit or the movement itself, except the third wave maybe, because it raises the question of who is the victim in the Patriarchal society, the women, men, or both? It also includes recognition of Queer literature, so you hear the word "bias" and it rings my name at some point. Haha~ The synopsis convinced me well to buy the book as it tackles trauma, Freud and Jung. Yes, I'm also a frustrated Psychologist. No, i0098n fact, I have a lot of frustrations, really.

AHHHH~ My research begins now! And I'm about to meet my adviser. I hope she gives mercy on me. My ears are closed to phrases such as: "No way you'll defend this" or "this [topic] does not say a thing!". NO. I'll do my best. I really will so I won't disappoint myself or anybody for that matter.

Re-watching my collection of Jeff Dunham shows (collection translates to youtube downloads XD) and it tickles my funny bones all over again. If ever you have time in your hands, please watch his performances. Jeff Dunham is an excellent ventriloquist009 and comedian, which has earned him awards in his career. I remember laughing so much watching "Achmed the dead terrorist" for the first time as Mao showed it to me. Ever since, I was a big fan. I like Peanut the best~ :3

Finally~

After 4 months, "Project Kyuu x Meiido~ a.k.a JUNKO" pushed through! I can't spill much of the details, but all I can comment is, it was one hell of a project! I was enjoying myself too much I'm not very sure if I did good as a photographer!

Really, if you ask me what luxury I can give myself, I would say...play viewing.

I really love watching stage plays but its always expensive so my only chance at watching the really good ones (with much to demand from my wallet) is when they are required for school.

Yes~

Yesterday we watched David Henry Huang's "Golden Child" at CCP and I have to say that it was one of the stage plays that almost made me cry because of so much admiration for the beauty of the whole production. And a thousand of rain claps to the actresses who played the wives of the chinese merchant because they really stole the show. And I had a picture with Irma Adlawan!!! I knew she was a good actress, but it's that first time I saw her on stage! Now I know she is that good of an actress! Sarcasm rawks! XD

I'll put up the pics and boast it when I get a copy from Sally. 8D

Just when I thought I was FA for my Asian Lit class, I was not. That's good news~ and I'll come to school 30 minutes early next week! Promise!

At the career seminar orientation,
I did not expect to see 2 of my crushes at the same auditorium with me at the same time. Eye candy, yes~ for the other and "ermffff" moment to the other. I dunno, I just get really clumbsy and disoriented when I see that person. It's really a *dokidoki* moment and dokidoki moments equates blank space. NOOOOOOOOO~ I don't like looking stupid! But oh well...that his effect. While the other one inspires me, the other annoys me. But I love them both. ^^

Going home, I tried another route, the LRT-MRT route. Well, it was okay, pretty tiring actually. I had to walk so much! The LRT gave me a very nostalgic impression. Since it is older than the MRT, the stations looks worn out and traces of passing time are constant in the walls and floors. The interior was also very cinematic for me. I dunno. It just gave me that really vintage feel that at present, fashion is trying to revive.

Gaaah. I've spend so much in a day! And it's only the third day of the week! HURRRR... and we even have to go to Ateneo tomorrow after exams. Wow~ I hope I don't spend much. I wish to continue saving up every week. ^^ It's not so bad, I'm doing a good job. I just hope I don't forget where I hide my money.

Praning = Paranoid

I have my moments of paranoia. Silly moments of paranoia that is.

This morning I saw this big, erect, yellow MUSHROOM that sprout on our bathroom door. Well, mushrooms are not harmless, unless its poisonous and the stupid in you still eats it. And no, they don't move to bite you, nor do they have eyes that suddenly shows itself upon the presence of a flesh. NO, really, mushrooms are not like that.

But...
I was thinking the exact opposite.
All that I said, I thought this morning.
REally!
I can't seem to get near the door and I was staring at it for 10 minutes, seeing how unusually erect it is, why the texture is somewhat hairy or velvety, why the hat-ish head seems to have a nipple, why it suddenly sprout there when it was not there last night; why can't I seem to get past my paranoia, why would I the mushroom will bite me, why is it so yellow?!
I even threw a water bottle past it to test if it will devour in it suddenly when it moves or not. Well, of course it did not, but I was paranoid!

Since I was running late for my 9 AM appointment, I had to do something. I woke up my mom, told her about it with my most serious tone and look (and that was sincere) so she would have a look at it. When she did, she was also amused but she knew why I told her anyway. She removed the mushroom from the door so I can finally have my bath. I could still remember how limp the big mushroom looked when it was thrown in the wastebin. And I could still remember how scared, disgusted and silly I felt. ~.~

This happened a lot of times in the past, including when I see this big spider on our bathroom wall. It would take me past 15 minutes to get to the door and scram my way out! I have this big fear of crawling and unusual creatures, so there...it's so silly! GAAAAH! But haha, I can only laugh now because it's not in front of me. I freeze when I see these kinds of things. TT_TT And I have to get my mom everytime.

I'm such a kid.

Good News

I'm happy with my optimism.
I have less than a month, I have to finish my thesis; approximately 25 days.
To think, that's a short period of time to read, analyze and write with your brain in hand, then there's my other responsibilities to matter.
But then I thought, how many hours is there in a day? 24 hours.
In an hour is 60 minutes. If I could do a lot in an hour, then there's plenty of time to move. Perhaps, enough to meet my deadline.
So what's there to be afraid of?
I just have to make every hour and minute count.
That's the real challenge in time.


Bad News

My brother informed us that he might lose his job by October because the company he's working for will dissolve their account.
I'm scared.
We depend on him.
If he loses his job, me and my mom is screwed---AGAIN.
