The loooong weekend
Well... I'd still flame in envy when their Ipods come.
(fuck, the point of my argument is gone!)
----
Sometimes, I'm just too paranoid.
I don't have a "third eye" and I've never seen a ghost before. Or...maybe some instances and momentary insanity alone in a closed room, some weird feelings and hearing really cold voices from a block...but that's all. I've never actually seen one. a REAL one.
As a Filipino, I remain superstitious. I love horror stories and weird tales, but sometimes they just scare me till it makes me stupid. My imagination is too fast to visualize images and can vividly imagine things beyond my control that sometimes I scare myself.
Yesterday night, my classmate forwarded me a message. You know, one of those "cursed" chain messages in the SMS world. It got me really scared because it requires me to pass it to 17 people in able to not see the old bloody woman in my bed for 3 consecutive midnights. The trouble was, I don't have any credits left in my sim...
"WTF?!"
I swear, my heart raced like a horse. I didn't know what to do and my mind began rampaging with the image of the old scary woman laying beside me and calling for help...over and over again. Great, and earlier that night, ch.7 and ch.2 just had to air horror movies! Wow, talk about foreshadowing, eh?
Then, kuya called for me outside because my neighbor wanted to see my phone, which is the same as hers. We were chit-chatting about its features and contrasting what's hers and mine, so my mind sort of relaxed...for A WHILE. Then finally, I mentioned to her about the dreadful message. Apparently, her younger sister received the same message and passed it to her. Since she has a sixth sense, I asked her if the "visitor" came. Fortunately, she said NO, it didn't and I need not to be worried about anything.
"Sabi kasi sa akin kailangan 17, wala nga akong load. Takot ako eh."
"Nge? Sa inyo 17? Sa amin 20 eh. Duga. Wala yun. Loko lang yun, no. Ang laki-laki mo na eh."
"Oo nga no!"
Though Ate Gonza's statement calmed me a bit, some of my nerves was still in the verge of popping at the thought of seeing a ghost, so I went in front of the PC to use Chikka and pass it, like the original plan (and in order to sleep tight).
While waiting for my brother to finish what he's doing (friendster), I asked Kuya if I should believe chain letters. His reply was a bit harsh to the ear but it was as good as a slap in the face to wake you good in a cold morning!
"Bakit, wala ba kayong Theology? Di ba tinuro sa inyo yun, ha? Diba sinabi na dapat di naniniwala sa mga ganyang text? Tao lang may gawa niyan..."
Okay. So my faith and slacking history in Theology time was in question. Sorry, I'm guilty. But I swear, I don't think that was thought in our theology. Although, the part about humans faking things to manipulate others is true enough to make me sit back and focus on the TV show.
I decided then to drop it and move on.
...
But of course, IT WASN'T THAT EASY.
1. It took me a long while to make me go to our dirty kitchen and wash the dishes alone and in SILENCE (makes me shiver. It's deafening, at least for me).
2. I was so sleepy by 12:30 but I decided to download and browse the net longer because sleeping time still makes me paranoid. I wanted my brother to sleep beside me (for the first time) so I'll have a shield and I won't be seeing the ghost alone because he read the chain letter himself.
3. My brother fell asleep while watching television so I thought that there's no way out. I brought Yeopgi with me so that music can calm my nerves. Unfortunately, Yeopgi was as sleepy as me and only stayed on for 2 minutes or less. I was still awake.
4. I prayed that if the legend is true, I hope she lays in peace in heaven and that person that killed her had recieved his/her deserved punishment. Then I tried to cover my face and body with a blanket and pillow but any ruffling sounds and turns and moans coming from Tita (beside me) would wake me up in fear of it showing any minute.
At the long run, I guess I got too tired and my mind just gave up on its own. I woke up and it was morning. No nightmares nor bloody faces.
How paranoid can I get?!

I guess my family likes my company?
They often ask me to go with them. I mean, I'm thankful for that and I take it as a compliment, but its tiring! Really tiring.
My brother likes to take me when he's shopping for clothes. As if I'm his fashion consultant. He's got good style, I just do the thumbs up and thumbs down. It's even more tiring that I'm not the one buying and I always have to wait for him. Argh.
My little brother loves to ask me to go with him when he's being asked to go on errands. Damn it bro, that's your burden!
My Tita likes to take me with her (usually just the two of us---girls) to the mall when she's flabbergasted with my relatives who loves to give her headaches and grief. You know, just to remedy the heaviness of it all.

Since last week, I've noticed that in the "Ama Namin" part of the mass, people don't hold hands as much as in the past. Usually, you won't mind holding a stranger's hand for that is the whole point of the action, to unite the heart of God's people by clasping each other's hand. There was a point that it was a necessity to stop the action for a while because of the SARS scare. Now that it's gone, why are people so strangers to each other, to that one small moment that you'll be one as a community?

How productive....

You can't help but judg
You're pretty pure, and you have no plans on changing that. You do have a devilish side though... and it will probably get the better of you.
Your positive traits: You're quite the charmer. You've got the wit and attitude to attract almost anyone you meet. Out spoken and honest, any date knows how they stand with you. Fearless, independent, and willing to try anything twice - your dates should expect the unexpected. Your negative traits: You tend to be vain, and you expect your partner to feed that vanity often with complements. Hot tempered and impulsive, you've occasionally ended things ... only to regret it later. You're obsessed with being the best, most loved girlfriend or boyfriend your sweetie's ever had. Your ideal partner: A risk taking, free spirit like yourself - who can keep up with your latest wild child antics. Someone stylish, attractive, and fit... who can keep you attracted for months. Is hard to get - and lets you pursue things. You prefer to be the chaser, not the one being chased. Your dating style: Wild, unpredictable, fun, and daring. Your ideal date may involve a couple motorcycles or naked skydiving. Your seduction style: Honest and direct - you have no need for romance or much foreplay. Show off. You like to show your lover how you're the best ever. Ambitious. You often like to go all night - or aim for multiple orgasms. Tips for the future: Start to believe in second and third chances. You don't have to dump them so fast. Savor the process. Sometimes the best part of falling in love is taking things in slow motion. Let go of comparisons. If someone's with you, then you've already one. Stop worrying about exes. Best color to attract mate: Red Best day for a date: Tuesday
You are very independent and self-centered. You don't solve other people's problems - and you don't expect them to solve yours. You spend a lot on clothes, and you tend to be a very dresser. However, it's hard for you to throw away trendy clothes when they go out of style. You have the perfect blend of confidence and class. You're proud of who you are - but you don't broadcast it. In relationships, you are practical and realistic. You have a romantic side, but you only let it out when it's appropriate.
You are a very open minded person, but you're also well grounded. Tolerant and flexible, you appreciate most lifestyles and viewpoints. But you also know where you stand firm, and you can draw that line. You're open to considering every possibility - but in the end, you stand true to yourself.
Men notice you light years before you notice them You take a selective approach to dating, and you can afford to be picky You aren't looking for a quick flirt - but a memorable encounter It may take men a while to ask you out, but it's worth the wait

You are a slob, and you really don't care if other people know it. You don't love messes, but you just can't be bothered to clean on a regular basis. While being messy and disorganized feels easy, it's probably making your life harder. Maybe it's time for you to get a maid.
Powerful and overbearing, you intimidate people with your presence. People know they can't push you around, and they respect that. Deep down, you are calm, confident, and unmovable. You take everything pretty seriously, and you think deeply about all aspects of your life. You tend to feel smothered by paper people. You don't mind crushing the spirit of a scissors person. When you fight, you: Use all of your strength If someone makes you mad: You're likely to throw something at them
You are logical, analytical, and rational. You have good verbal skills. Flexible and broad minded, you can fit in to any situation. There's no telling where your life will take you. Consistent and reliable, you like to count on structure and routine in your life. Your emotions tend to be nervous and potent. Your energy - both positive and negative - deeply impacts your life.
Full of hope and promise. But in the end, a cheap letdown.
Your brain is a healthy mix of male and female You are both sensitive and savvy Rational and reasonable, you tend to keep level headed But you also tend to wear your heart on your sleeve
