The loooong weekend

It's unfair, but I think my dad is serious about getting my two brothers an Ipod nano. I mean fine, I am a little too careless when it comes to my belongings (I even cried yesterday for this matter, because I'm getting sick of them repeating my mistakes in the past, as if I'm not making up for it. What the fuck!? I cried in front of my family! NOOOO! *shameshame*), but it's not like I mean it. It's not like I'm apathetic about the things that I lost or I'm not marking my mistakes! So now, even though Yeopgi is really standing up for the definition of his name (in korean it describes something grotesque/horrible-looking), I sacrificed ALOT for this player...for 3 effin' years! It's one of the things that is remains to me for a long time and we've been together for so long that I just couldn't give him up to my brother in place of getting me a cooler (mp3 capable) phone. But Yeopgi is not that strong anymore, so maybe I need to replace him soon. His battery life has decreased 70% from it's original, so I need to charge him more often, which is not really beneficial for my mom's bill. I also want a new mp3 player, but my brother said the phone would be enough if it's really mp3 capable and the memory is 2 gigs anyway.

Well... I'd still flame in envy when their Ipods come.
(fuck, the point of my argument is gone!)

----

Sometimes, I'm just too paranoid.
I don't have a "third eye" and I've never seen a ghost before. Or...maybe some instances and momentary insanity alone in a closed room, some weird feelings and hearing really cold voices from a block...but that's all. I've never actually seen one. a REAL one.

As a Filipino, I remain superstitious. I love horror stories and weird tales, but sometimes they just scare me till it makes me stupid. My imagination is too fast to visualize images and can vividly imagine things beyond my control that sometimes I scare myself.

Yesterday night, my classmate forwarded me a message. You know, one of those "cursed" chain messages in the SMS world. It got me really scared because it requires me to pass it to 17 people in able to not see the old bloody woman in my bed for 3 consecutive midnights. The trouble was, I don't have any credits left in my sim...

"WTF?!"

I swear, my heart raced like a horse. I didn't know what to do and my mind began rampaging with the image of the old scary woman laying beside me and calling for help...over and over again. Great, and earlier that night, ch.7 and ch.2 just had to air horror movies! Wow, talk about foreshadowing, eh?

Then, kuya called for me outside because my neighbor wanted to see my phone, which is the same as hers. We were chit-chatting about its features and contrasting what's hers and mine, so my mind sort of relaxed...for A WHILE. Then finally, I mentioned to her about the dreadful message. Apparently, her younger sister received the same message and passed it to her. Since she has a sixth sense, I asked her if the "visitor" came. Fortunately, she said NO, it didn't and I need not to be worried about anything.

"Sabi kasi sa akin kailangan 17, wala nga akong load. Takot ako eh."
"Nge? Sa inyo 17? Sa amin 20 eh. Duga. Wala yun. Loko lang yun, no. Ang laki-laki mo na eh."
"Oo nga no!"

Though Ate Gonza's statement calmed me a bit, some of my nerves was still in the verge of popping at the thought of seeing a ghost, so I went in front of the PC to use Chikka and pass it, like the original plan (and in order to sleep tight).

While waiting for my brother to finish what he's doing (friendster), I asked Kuya if I should believe chain letters. His reply was a bit harsh to the ear but it was as good as a slap in the face to wake you good in a cold morning!

"Bakit, wala ba kayong Theology?

Okay. So my faith and slacking history in Theology time was in question. Sorry, I'm guilty. But I swear, I don't think that was thought in our theology. Although, the part about humans faking things to  manipulate others is true enough to make me sit back and focus on the TV show.

I decided then to drop it and move on.

...

But of course, IT WASN'T THAT EASY.
1. It took me a long while to make me go to our dirty kitchen and wash the dishes alone and in SILENCE (makes me shiver. It's deafening, at least for me).

2. I was so sleepy by 12:30 but I decided to download and browse the net longer because sleeping time still makes me paranoid. I wanted my brother to sleep beside me (for the first time) so I'll have a shield and I won't be seeing the ghost alone because he read the chain letter himself.

3. My brother fell asleep while watching television so I thought that there's no way out. I brought Yeopgi with me so that music can calm my nerves. Unfortunately, Yeopgi was as sleepy as me and only stayed on for 2 minutes or less. I was still awake.

4. I prayed that if the legend is true, I hope she lays in peace in heaven and that person that killed her had recieved his/her deserved punishment. Then I tried to cover my face and body with a blanket and pillow but any ruffling sounds and turns and moans coming from Tita (beside me) would wake me up in fear of it showing any minute.

At the long run, I guess I got too tired and my mind just gave up on its own. I woke up and it was morning. No nightmares nor bloody faces.

How paranoid can I get?!

-----

I guess my family likes my company?

They often ask me to go with them. I mean, I'm thankful for that and I take it as a compliment, but its tiring! Really tiring.

My brother likes to take me when he's shopping for clothes. As if I'm his fashion consultant. He's got good style, I just do the thumbs up and thumbs down. It's even more tiring that I'm not the one buying and I always have to wait for him. Argh.

My little brother loves to ask me to go with him when he's being asked to go on errands. Damn it bro, that's your burden!

My Tita likes to take me with her (usually just the two of us---girls) to the mall when she's flabbergasted with my relatives who loves to give her headaches and grief. You know, just to remedy the heaviness of it all.

-----

Since last week, I've noticed that in the "Ama Namin" part of the mass, people don't hold hands as much as in the past. Usually, you won't mind holding a stranger's hand for that is the whole point of the action, to unite the heart of God's people by clasping each other's hand. There was a point that it was a necessity to stop the action for a while because of the SARS scare. Now that it's gone, why are people so strangers to each other, to that one small moment that you'll be one as a community?

Achilles and Patroclus

Ahaha! Actually, I'm in the middle of cramming for my Classic Lit paper, but I will be doing an intermission now.

If you'll remember I made a really long post about Alexander and Hephaiston here a long time ago after the movie "Alexander" made me really giddy. And now, I'm featuring their ancestors! ACHILLES and PATROCLUS! MWahahah!

Unfortunately, I cannot make an overview like the one I did back then because I don't have enough time. Instead, I'd be linking a few websites that tells of the "cousins" true relationships.

Meanwhile, the following are quoted from the movie "TROY" (2004). It's not very good and to say that beauty of the epic was murdered. I got confused with the events, really. But let's rejoice for these treasured moments of man love. =^^=

(Odysseus convincing Achilles to join the war)

Odysseus: Even if your cousin doesn't come, I hope you will join us, Patroclus. We could use a strong arm like yours.

*reaching to touch Patroclus arm*

Achilles: *used his sword to block Odysseus* Play your tricks on me, but not my cousin.

(Achilles not letting Patroclus join the first battle against Troy)

Achilles: Cousin, I cannot fight the Trojans if I'm concerned with you. Guard the ship.

(Achilles and Patroclus alone in a tent)

Achilles: I taught you how to fight, but I never taught you why to fight.

Patroclus: I fight for you.

NYAHAHAHA! And here are some online study about their true relationship.

1. Wikipedia

2. World History of Male Love

XD

This is too much. After checking out the links, watch "Alexander" and "TROY", read "The Persian Prince", research about Pederasty and by the time you are done, you're a full blown Yaoista like me!

Hooray for gaaaayS~ XD XD XD

(...)

...

I feel so bored today.

Saturday I cried a river so my eyes was in pain even the day after.

Sunday was fine. I was fine. ALREADY. After what happend, the disappointment, the crying and THE lie.

Maybe I do have a disorder. Maybe not. I dunno..hmm.

Should I be stubborn? Should I just study instead of lurking around here...

Told you...I'm bored.

Pensez

It is nice to be rich and spoiled.

Gah…I can get used to this.

Okay, don’t get me wrong here, I am not rich nor am I spoiled by my parents. There are a few good times when you can just point at anything you like and get it, without further questions or begging.

You can have it, because you can.

My Tita can get me a little too spoiled. I guess she likes the fact that I am a girl, she can [sometimes] dress me up and because I like to listen to people’s opinions, she can tell me whatever she likes and get a [good] response. I just noticed that whenever I’m here (We have two houses: one in Makati, the other is in Mandaluyong. No, we are NOT rich. Circumstance, friends. Circumstance.), suddenly, there is time for malls, for cinemas, for groceries, for ukay-ukay and the likes. She asks me for what I want, I can get it! Of course, I get shy at times, but you see I’ve always believed the saying: Hindi tinanggihan ang grasya. So who am I to refuse?

This kind of thing is getting into me.

I can get really used to this!

*code switch*

Hanep talaga! Total package!

Wala naman akong reklamo, noh. Napansin ko lang…

*code switch* [again]

My fellow bloggers, please share me an answer to this question. There is no right or wrong answer. There is only, your Truth.

Here goes…

I was about to finish my sandwich a while ago when I noticed, I first ate the hard (unwanted?) sides of the bread and left the inside (what do you call that, the ‘white’ part?) for last. I just noticed that I have been eating bread the same way my whole life. It’s always like that, because I want the best of the taste of the sandwich that I can get, as my finale. I want the food to give me a lasting, memorable taste that I can remember even the next day.

Now, there the similar question in the dorama, “Strawberry on the Shortcake”.

 shortcake

If you are to eat it, would you eat the strawberry first because it is your favorite, or would you save it for last, because it is your favorite?

I don’t know if I have asked the same thing before, but I am really curious.

My professor is right.

In order to write, you have to expose yourself to the world. It’s not enough that you have an idea of what life is, out of the four walls of your home, you have to go outside, broaden your horizon and then immortalize it into ink and paper.

Penzes is the French word for Think.

------!

Nakakahiya talaga ako sa Spanish.

I swear.

From gloomy to hyper.

Eto kami:

group2

Top [R-L]Marvin, Miyuchi, Emil, Arizan, Shaira (debutant), Joshua
Bottom [R-L] Mao, Louie, Ralph, KC, Aldriech, Shenna, Aia

In-Indian kami! hmp! Walang kwenta ang speech ko. GYAAAAH~~~~

Before nun, photoshoot muna! Talunan to the max! Napaka-contrasting nung image, kakatuwa. ^^
