In search of Narnia
This day caused me major body aches. Mom's still not home, I just hope she doesn't forget the pain killer or I'll conclude the outcome of our basketball game tomorrow right now. I guess my body hasn't recovered from yesterday's practice game. I'm really not use at sports. In fact I've never liked sports, except basketball which I like playing. My muscles are damn lazy, they don't like exerting effort and using their supposed function for anything. Lazy! Lazy! Kaya ang dami kong "flabs" eh. Tamad mag-exercise...tsk! tsk!
After class, Miguchi asked me to accompany him to Megamall. Actually, Miguchi, Ella, Mark and me planned the trip but the two had other plans, and the ice skating was pusponed once again. *sigh* I knew this would happend.
The jeepney we rode to Quezon Ave. had to be one of the most annoying I've encountered so far. It's enough that the heat was killing us but the driver had to play his baduy remixes of sentimental ballads. I don't know why they have to make their jeep so damn grand! This particular jeep have subwoopers under the seats and the beat of the freagin remix songs are bothering me. It's thingling my nerves and making me want to throw him my heavy bag or brake his sound system so he'd know how damn annoying it is. Instead of pouting I pluged my mp3 player and sleep for a while to divert my attention and calm my nerves.
Finally, we abode the MRT to Ortigas station, entered Megamall and eat at Chowking. The lunch was a threat so I have to smile on that! Really satisfying! Thanks Miguchi! Law of equivalent trade that's how it is, ne? Though I sort of regret buying Mongo Pao which I think is a new to the menu. It's not really good, just sweet and soft. I should've bought buchi or chicharap instead! Or pizzamelt! (eh? Jollibee?) And what else...oh yeah! Sometimes, Filipino service gives me a thunderstruck at how sucky they can be. We've stormed the rest of the food we ordered, but my pork siomai haven't been served yet. And I had to remind 3 different waitresses just to attend to my order. Fuck that. And they even gave me the wrong kind, they gave me beef instead! But no time to argue, when I'm pissed, I give up on the fight. The mad feeling doesn't suit me much and my chest can't handle long annoyances.
Next, we raided the music stores of Mega for Narnia's OST. Unfortunatley, I think that hasn't been realeased here yet, or the shipping sucks really? I don't know. It should be available by now for according to Miguchi, it's been long released on December at the states. There should be atleast some available here. Considering how much the Filipinos loooooooove American goods. Hmp! Well, I pitty my friend. He has to relly on the special request, which according to the lady we talked to, isn't at all certain. Awww... pray on that, man!
Anyways, I'll just rant on my experienced with that woman at CD-R King. Similar to the situation at Chowking, that lady had to challenge my patience. I'm a semi-patient person. Perhaps depending on the situation. In fact I can tollerate irritating people, what I can't tollerate is waiting. Especially when you're waiting for something that should be attended for you and they pratically slap in your face that you don't matter, thus, ignored. Just like that woman at CD-R King. My change is a mere 40 php compared to those cd freaks after and before me, but luck would have it that they don't have a small change and I have to stand there for like, forever, you know, like, F-O-R-E-V-E-R (note: immitating someone. clue: repetion of name), with my heavy bag, my body aching, my feet tired and there she goes chatting happily away. Damn you! I'm here! I need the darn change immediately! I so wanted to refund my money and Miguchi suggested I give her a good punching, but I think sungit is enough to knock out a person, that is, if she's sensitive enough. In this case, I was defeated. My vains wanted to explode and spurt blood at their business. After a while I realized I should've taken her picture and post it here, but for some humanitarian reason, I had mercy on her.
I think after that we headed to National Bookstore then to Powerbooks, where Miguchi spent a whooping a, KACHING *soundeffect*, 2, 999 php on the Harry Potter: Half-blood Prince (delux edition), 2,280 php on the box set of Narnia books and 715 php on Companion to Narnia (not sure). Such a devotee! Well, I have to admire Miguchi on that, I wish I could be that avid of a reader on books. All I read now are manga scans! Speaking of comics, I bought Oliver M. Pulumbarit's LEXY, NANCE & ARGUS: Sex, Gods and Rock & Roll which is a compilation of his work that was published at Pulp Magazine from 2001-2002 by installment. I'm just wondering if the creator is gay, for I was shocked that Argus will become gay, making them all gay as Lexy's gay and Nance is bisexual. But no stereotypes please. Althought that would be fun, like Zsa Zsa Zaturna. Hmmm... I've just noticed my growing collection of graphic novels and local comics, I'm planning on buying Siglo: Passion next.
Last, I accompanied Miguchi to the MRT station hoping he would not stupidly loose his way back or get beaten by some taong grasa and steal away all his precious books. I'd kidnap him if I were you. Dami nyang pera! Hehe...jokes lang. Peace tayo! And I made my way back to Guadalupe, challenge my endurance and finally drop at the sofa. I was so damn tired.
Now I'm hungry. Still have to do some laundrying and homeworks.
Pain....oh....pain...... *dramaticalmanner*
I bid you now goodbye, and please pray on our game tom! Ja~
P.S. I WANT A COPY OF THE AWAKE TOUR BY LARUKU! IF ANYONE IS WILLING TO SELL ME ONE, I'LL BUY IT! I WANT TO SEE KEN CRY! AWWWW.... ~_~V
