Friday, i told my mom about some good bargain that some local vendors in Quipo offered me the last time i went there. Since it was boring her and me, that we have nothing new to watch at home, making my DVD player somewhat useless for the meantime. Suddenly, she said we'll go to Quipo the next day.

Saturday, at around 11:30 A.M, me and my mom arrived at the place. I took her to a spot where i always buy my DVDs. I asked her before what was her budget, and she told me that its only 300 php. So i was thinking: Okay, i could ask her to give me a hundred, so i can have 4 DVDs and another 4 using my own money.... However, to my surprise, i think my mom got a little too exited at the number of good titles in the stall that her selection is over 400 php na! So she said its worthit anyway, she'll pay for mine too! Hah!

As for me i now have...

Bought another japanese movie but i have to return it since it has NO ENGLISH SUBTITLE. shoot. And the other one, a Hongkong movie but going loop. When i looked at the CD, it has so many scratches in it!!! XD.

Another flaw to our DVD collection...some of my mom's DVDs has such POOR video quality. As if a VCD (na kinunan sa sine) was just converted to a DVD cd. Really, that's 6 cds...i have to return 6 cds...

After Quipo, spent that rest of the afternoon in my mom's office. printed some pics and articles...that.

Haay...and now, i'm having the damnest time converting my Ai no Kusabi to VCD. shit. i have to buy a new one. Grrr....>

After going to UST to claim my uniform and to Quipo to do some little cd hunting, I parted ways with my friend and off to UP Diliman to watch Formula 17. What is Formula 17? Formula 17 is only one of the many gay and lesbian film, that could be watched in this years Pink Film Festival. Yes, you heared me, its pink. i don't know what's pink got to do with this kind of group, but pink symbolizes them the most. maybe becuase gays have colorful lives? I don't know, i'm not gay. but as i see in the surface, i guess they are one of the jolliest people in the world.

Anyways, after some little mistake, and small trouble i had looking for the venue of the movie, i got there early as i planned. Damn, i've planned this viewing a week ago, and i just have to catch the movie in whole. Remember i have this hobby of taking out all of my money's worth? Well, the admision is 100 php, actually, its 20 php or 50 php cheaper than the one in being shown in Gateway, but higher in price than our everyday cinema. At first i thought it was free, for Ega Sai, a Japanese Film Fest, is always free. so i thought, hey, its also a festival, but i guess not.

Inside, i sat where i could have a good view of the movie. 4:44 they started airing Pusang Gala, a filipino digital film starring Ricky Davao as a romace writter, of course, he's gay (More and more gay roles for this actor! and i think he's already a pro at his portrayals! Go Ricky!). At first i thought it was only a trailer, but turns out that was the film itself shown already! I was starting to get disappointed for Pusang Gala wasn't the film i was after. Though, i would have wanted to watch it too. I support indie films, you know. But Pusang Gala, officially starts at 7. Too bad...

Around 5:16, movie proper started rolling. Formula 17 now showing.

its almost 2 weeks after school started for me. As i've said to my friends, I am the least excited about school. Being stuck at home was boring me and going out is a piss becuase it just makes my feet hurt and my pocket grow its hole. So no, i was pretty much a sucker for everything.

*sigh*

So, anyway, how's school? As my dad would ask me... plain and weird at the same time.

1Lit.

That's our section. We are the only 1Lit of UST. We are special. Thank you very much. The teachers looooove us. But i don't like the fact that they expect so much from us. I never like that idea. It all leads to disappointment for both sides.

My classmates... they're kind of weird ... but good. Good in terms of fluently speaking english and reasoning ... some are the stereo-type kikays, but they are as well good in their chosen department. But, we vary in terms of types. There are the politician-like type, who, when talking keeps his chin up, his hands hidden in his pocket and say the words "i believe" in any chance possible in his explanation. Really. Then we have the Tibak type. He can move mountains with his great words...not. His voice is really loud, its as if he has a mic attached to his voice box. Oh, and must i note that those two are the top rulers of the class. The Vice and President, respectively speaking.
We have the silent type. The film-major wanna be, dissers, anime lover (eherm!), and aliens. hahaha... no just kidding. We have two Korean classmates and boy are they strange. They don't mingle with us, nor talk to us unless you ask them question first. Well, fairly understandable, since they don't know english very well, or tagalog.
But make them speak hard to pronouce english in-front and have fun!

What i can't understand about these foreigners is, they come here to learn English. Kesho mahal daw kasi sa kanila, at "cheap" dito. oo tama nga, kaso kung hindi ka naman willing, hindi ka naman matututo eh. yung dalawa kong kaklase ko na yun, 2 years na daw sila dito pero 'konti' pa rin ang alam nila. sa laganap ng English words dito imposibleng hindi pa rin sila sanay. at ang pakikipag-usap ang isa sa mgagandang pagsasanay para maging bihasa sila. Di ba? Ni tagalog daw 'konti' lang ang alam nila. Haay naku... kung ako nasa Korea ng 2 taon eh magaling nako. Dahil gusto ko, at yun lang ang kailangan ko para matuto. Package na yun eh, diba? Nga pala, yung word na 'konti' pa lang ang naririrnig ko sa kaklase kong koreano.

This reality is shown in the movie "Can this be love", where Sandara and Hero stars in. Yes, set aside the mushiness and Kakornihan, they have the inside story to this issue. Well, yes, i did watch this. And i enjoyed the comedy. ^^

So what else?

Am reading Jessica Zafra's book which was lended to me. I thought i'll never read this book. I'm intrigued by it, knowing so many people telling me about it and asking if i've read it. They say its about her opinions, so i said to my self, this will be on the bottom of my book list. Not going to prioritize an opinion-filled book, what I'm going to spend my money on other people's opinions? No way. Well, it was lended, and well, it is funny in her own perspective of things. Her sarcasm really reminds me of a friend. She also has a tabulas account. Try to guess who. ^^

Since i've mentioned i have a wanna be director classmate and happens to be the closest classmate as of now, is indulging me deeper into the world of films. I've been addicted to conceps in various films, and i like the twisted ones, or the ones that have the magic of life in it, and greatly portrayed. Though i can't say i really want to be a director like her, but i guess, i'm better off as a script-writter or a film critique. Suits me better, i think.

On to Jrock...Well, i have now the AWAKE album. New album released by L'Arc~en~Ciel. As much as i want to buy the original one, well, the unfortunates always will be. By the time i find one here in the Philippines, almost everybody have downloaded the freagin album, including me. Why can't they just consider this country? Why Germany? Why China? Why Korea? Why Thailand? Why US? Why NOT PHILIPPINES? grrrr....

I don't know why i have to encounter assholes every damn morning. Jerk drivers are natural, but we have to admit, breathing the same air with such aliens, SUCKS.

Its been two days that they've been ruining my morning, and to think that my glorious day should kick off with a GOOD start. But because of them, argh! Sometimes i imagine myself throwing something sharp at his head, like, a shuriken so he could die. or beheading him with an axe, or forking his brains after i opened them with a rusty knife and exposing it to the nastiest black air Manila could provide.

Well...brutal? Morbid? Na-ah. Just some release.

Being a Lit major...i don't know. i just can't find myself writing anything these past weeks. No, i think its already been MONTHS since i last wrote something. Fic nor just a product of my imagination. I'm FRUSTRATED. As always...gyaaah....no progress. I'm still too much of a laid-back person. Dang.
